The Ventura County Library Reading Program for Adults provides free one-to-one tutoring for English-speaking and English-learning adults who struggle with reading and writing tasks. Students meet weekly with trained volunteer tutors throughout Ventura County to improve reading skills and work on individual educational goals. The Reading Program for Adults is funded primarily through grants, partnerships, donations and fundraising efforts.

Rotary Club of Ventura is a part of a larger service organization of over 1.2 million men and women worldwide. Rotary supports adult literacy, programs for at risk youth, National Polio Child Immunization Days to eradicate polio throughout the world and many other humanitarian endeavors. The Rotary Club of Ventura donates thousands of dollars annually to both local and worldwide projects.
